Christmas at Home :)

Happy New Year everyone :)

I was at home for Christmas and it was so nice to see everyone again! Two great weeks!

Starting off with a late night out I had some quality family time over Christmas and the following days were busy meeting friends. I'm a bit sad that the snow only came when I left again but I received plenty of pictures later on :)

Here are just a few pictures of the Christmas break:

Nichts geht über einen Abend mit guten Freunden und Bruder :)

It was so nice being home and the two weeks just flew by! But then again, I was looking forward to all the adventures still awaiting in Ireland. So with one crying and one laughing eye I said "Auf baldiges Wiedersehen" and took off to the Emerald Isle ....

Galway Christmas Market

Hello everybody!

It's fairly late but there's a good bit to catch up on. Soooo ... In the middle of December Lena, Sophie and I took a trip to Galway to see the Christmas markets there. It was a great weekend but the Christmas market was by far not as good as the one I had just seen in Cologne. And the weirdest part was that they had an Oktoberfest-tent playing music and serving Paulaner, so the atmosphere was a bit odd. Here are our impressions from that weekend.

Entering Galway we were welcomed by the sight of a ferris wheel

There were lovely decorations and lights on the green spaces :)

The town itself was beautifully decorated with lights and in the dark it was like a million little stars ...

Of course there was food as well ...

It was very weird not to see Bratwürste on the BBQ ;)

And the Crêpes were good but not as good as the ones from home :D

Beautiful Galway on a sunny day!

A street artist in Killarney we saw on the way home :)
