Steffen's visit :)

Hello everybody!

The first weekend of March (see, we're getting closer to June ...) Steffen came over to see my wonderful new home <3

We had a great few days with a lot of fun and exploring!

Friday we picked him up and went for lunch in Camo's and in the evening we went for dinner with Siobhán and had a few (plus one) drinks in the usual spots as a little welcome ;)

Steffen improved my Snapchat ;)
Don't we look very smart :) All set for a good night out!

The next day, we had a yummy breakfast, and took off for a walk to the castle and the stone forts with Siobhán, where we had a great day feeling like children again ;)
The best story about that day was a little dog named Hugo (or "sheep" as we called him). We met him walking past a house on the way from the castle to the forts and he came with us all the way. So we had good fun running around and playing with him. On the way back, he still accompanied us, until all of a sudden, a red car came towards us with the owner in it, who told us that her dog likes to take off with tourists and sometimes even goes all the way over the bridge and into town with them. So she was delighted to finally have found him ...
In the evening, we went to the Oratory and had delicious pizza and great cheesecake!
And of course, we went out again for a pint (or two or three ...)

Sunday morning, Steffen got to taste our delicious after-night-out-pancakes and we took our time getting ready. Since the day was nice, we decided to go for another walk. This time up the mountain behind the house. It was quite windy but we (mostly I) had fun flying around with the umbrella :D Unfortunately the two had minor accidents so we went back to the house. That evening, we played a little drinking game (on a Sunday night, I know ... at least we didn't have too much to drink) and went to bed reasonably early for school the next morning. I must say though, the game was good fun! We were really confused after a while with all the extra rules we invented ;)

All set for school, I took Steffen to my first year classes Monday morning. Kathleen happened to be out for the day so we had great fun team-teaching some first German words :) Unfortunately, I had to say good-bye soon but at least I knew that he was in good hands with Maureen (our favourite taxi driver!). It was just such a fun and lovely weekend and I was happy Steffen got to see Cahersiveen, the lovely people, the school and everything else. Oh and btw, it was only AFTER he was gone that I was told to sign him in as a visitor :D

Thanks for the great time and we'll do it again another year! :)
